How do I restore my Dell laptop to how it was when I first go it?
I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 and I looked it up on Dell's website of how to do it. They say to use the Dell Restore by Symantec but I tried hitting the CTRL + F11 on startup and it doesn't work. I think I may have uninstalled the Symantec programs. How do I go about restoring my laptop to the day I got it? By the way, I don't have an XP Pro disc, otherwise I would manually reinstall Windows.
It didn't come with a restore CD either. Dell's too cheap, they said to use the software that was installed on my laptop.
without a recovery disc it is difficult, you can probably order one. Other than that I suggest poking around the bios and trying to find some utility.
